Did you do the first part and wrap the first letter with the tags? Your font size and margins might have to be different than mine. Everybody is different. They’re there for an example but may have to be adjusted depending on whats on your page.

When I looked at it with firebug I cant find the selectors for the drop cap. When you edited your custom.css did you save it and upload it again to your server?

I love the idea of drop caps, but I haven’t been able to make this work. In my custom css file, I have

.custom .dropcap {
color: #90962a;
float: left;
font-size: 4.8em;
margin: .3em .2em .1em 0;
}

but it’s not showing up.
